Doug: this Gallardo hasn't been messed with or abused like so many others

You know, I’ve wanted one of these since early childhood. One of my earliest memories is seeing an orange and a green gallardo rip past my mom’s car while I was in the back seat. I went to college, got a well paying job, live below my means, etc.

Thank you, Doug, for pushing the prices higher and for delaying my dreams.

Sadly the price increased dramatically because you uploaded this video 12 seconds ago

Can’t believe this came out in 2004, it still looks better than most of the supercars today

The Gallardo is still my favorite car after all these years (maybe it's nostalgia, but there's just something about it). I feel like the 2000s era was the sweet spot for my favorites, with the Enzo, 430, Carrera GT and even the Murcielago.

2005ish to 2010ish was truly a special period for supercars. It's starting to feel like that was the pinnacle of automotive excellence and we didn't even know it.

Everyone posting about the new Ferrari while doug is posting about the gallardo. And thats why he is the best

One important thing Doug failed to mention: the original 5.0L Gallardos had a higher-pitched and better-sounding exhaust note thanks to their even firing order. The later 5.2L engines switched to an odd firing order, which gave it a deeper baritone.

As a manual purist, I rented an e-gear gallardo. Super underrated experience. All you could read in the 2000's and to date was how awful that transmission was. Yes, the maintenance schedule is certifiably insane, clutches every 12-20k. But the feeling is absurdly fun. Under full throttle, it is as if the entire car stops, time as well, when you pull that upshift paddle. Like all 4 wheels cease to move while it's shifting mechanically. It's insane and feels dangerous, and is ridiculously fun.

17:04 The comments about the transmission really put the spotlight on why i love how to LFA sound, the shiftting of the automated manual transmission and the noise make it so much more unique and alive then the dual clutch of a GT-R of the same year

Born in 94. Played with this car on so many racing games growing up. Always feels warm and nostalgic any time I see of these cars around, it’s like an old lifelong friend.

A Lambo with a cassette/CD player is top tier.

22 years old, loved this car since from my childhood. One of the most evergreen design from the Lamborghini .

The unfortunate reason these are cheap:

These cars were fitted with improper catalytic converters which would break down over time, and suck catalytic material back into the engine. Compressions issues, valve seals dump oil after certain mileage, and 04-05 is known to have excessive rod bearing wear around 40-60k miles. Which is a shame, because they got better in 06+ and sound so much better than the 5.2L motor which succeeded this. Probably the most bitter-sweet supercar, the sound is in a class of its own

I had the newer model from 2011. I drove in less than 3 years 46.000km with it . Never had one problem with it . Was a fantastic car to drive with with. It’s gives a raw feeling, but that’s exactly the fun part about it

Ming's spectacular entrance, that moment when you defeat him and get the pink slip and take it out for a ride! Omg, the sound of the V10 when you hit the NOS on Rosewood roads, nostalgia!

For me the Gallardo is THE Lambo, even to this day. This thing is iconic.
