Oversampling doesn't necessarily mean higher quality. It can make very little difference in some cases, while taxing your cpu. I'd only use it on plugins that begin to add artifacts below the nyquist

Bitwig has oversampling built in to devices (effects and synths and modules in the grid), not many people know this. Ableton live is still a great DAW and probably always will be. Yeah, don't run your DAW on a potato.... :)
