A little prospective here...: I used to work for a very large rental truck company for nearly 10 years. You would be amazed at the customers who rented f150s, 1500s that left it in the middle of nowhere, "broken down or out of gas" only to come to find out that only certain parts were taken.... Come to find out, a few days later and digging deeper into it, the customer ironically owns the same type vehicle that they rented just days before.... I have seen engine/transmission swaps from brand new vehicle (with just a few thousand miles on them) overnight... Im not blaming the allegedly innocent party here but never ceased to amaze me at what the customer did to the vehicle and then cry victim.... Just food for thought. Love the show Matt! Keep the videos coming!

Hey Matt! on my side of the world (Italy) the first thing to consider is whether or not, the customer who rented the CAN-AM has a broken one in his garage!!! That is the number one insurance scam!!!

I live in Sacramento, California and was in Kanab this spring. Went to the hardware store but unfortunately it was closed, being a Sunday. I was amazed that the front lot had Gorilla carts, potted plants, bags of soil mix and grass seed, and even some wheel barrows--all unsecured. A local drove up and I commented how all this stuff would be ripped off if this was in California. "Well" he replied "This is Kanab Utah. We don't steal from one another." What a nice way to live, I thought.

Whoever the Owner of the Rivian is. When you’re in sand. Keep the Drive mode in Drift. It’ll allow the wheels to spin and traction control is limited. I had a family stuck in the imperial sand dunes a couple years back and it took a bit to figure out. But, got him out and on his way.

People stealing from others is low. Even if they may have thought the the Side by side was an abandon vehicle it is still inexcusable that some one stole parts from it. If it's not yours don't mess with it unless the owner asks you to.

Just gotta give props to the Rivian driver for actually using the machine.

The "You're a coward" montage was brilliant, but none cut any deeper than Ed! You get-em Ed!

9:00 also that rolled over Land Rover near the border with Mexico where they took the rims and tires 😮 and you had to buy new ones just to finish the job ...

"It makes me so sad that my town has turned into this" . Well it makes me sad to think of how many people are saying this about their towns, including my own. I want the place I grew up in back again..."You dirty rotten cowards..." Love your channel, crew and family Matt !!!

I also had the thought that they rented the vehicle, wrecked it, and came back for the parts they need for a vehicle they have of the same type.

Been there before (vehicle with suspension parts snagged.) Next time, take the front wheels off and stuff them in the rear as bumpers! Works great. Had to tow out a broken chevy from a fire trail once around 50 miles. Ratchet strapped the front wheels to the top of the rear axel.

Cool to see someone spend all that money on a Rivian and they are actually enjoying it. Also hate to see that people have to take advantage of someone's misfortune and rob parts from a busted SXS. Hopefully the thief is found and this can be made right. Love the content, thanks for all you do!

I am constantly amazed that Matt can leave a tow rig while doing a job, time after time and no one messes with it. This is a good thing. I'm guessing it's what part of the country you're in. People aren't the same everywhere. I'll leave it there.

Side hills become 11 degrees steeper when you're wheeling alone. :)

My hubby came out of his office at the point in the video when Matt and Kaulin are discussing the theft and asks me "That sounds like Matt - what happened to get him upset?" He was so surprised to hear him not be his cheerful fun self he had to find out what was wrong - that's the power of the community you've created here. I wanted to give Matt a hug and my hubby wanted to find the thieves - and we live in Canada lol!

Witnessed major thievery while on vacation in Mexico one time. An old truck full of food crashed off into the brush. While traveling back at dusk we saw the truck completely striped of all tires, mirrors and all the food it was hauling. I felt so bad for the man who had went to the hospital was eventually going to come back and see his livelihood stolen by a few horrible thugs 😢

It NEEDS to be said...Rhett's smile is worth at least $1, 000, 001 (one million and one dollars)! He has this ever-present, smoldering just under the surface, lowkey sense of humor that shows.

I drove a Toyota Land Cruiser on dirt roads (not off road) with deep ruts made by large trucks, and bridges made of poles positioned lengthwise over some ditches (OK for dual tires) where a small wheel could slip between poles. This was in South America .. no tow trucks to call, and no phone anyway (1970s). Got high centered a few times. Not too hard to jack the vehicle, prop rocks or wood under the tires, and continue on. Always amazes me when I don't see people doing this. Guess those self-rescues (which must happen) don't get recorded for this channel. But we need the MORR calls to give us content for the show, which I really enjoy watching.
