Woman Faces Judge In Deadly Crash

A woman faced a Miami-Dade judge Monday morning following a deadly weekend crash.

Really Mom? Your daughter killed a person and injured another due to her own actions and you want to put blame on the victims? These are the people in our society? SMH

She didn’t look all that “emotional” to me, she looked annoyed when the judge set her bail terms, particularly the house arrest. And her mother had a lot of gaul to try and blame the victim, “she wasn’t wearing a seat belt and that’s why she was killed”. Sorry, seat belts don’t prevent being impaled.

The mom would be singing a different tune if it were her daughter that was killed/hurt. I understand you love your daughter, but she chose to be irresponsible and get behind the wheel.

Her mother claimed it was not her daughters fault? Who's fault was it then? It was her daughters fault for driving drunk and killing someone, plain and simple. Perhaps she should have taught her daughter personal responsibility prior to this. Unfortunately this is a horrible tragedy that effects a lot of people and that's the consequence of her actions. :(

The mother did nothing but make excuses, which is why her drunk daughter doesn't comprehend accountability. The victim died because she hit them, period!!

Obviously the seat belt doesn’t matter but more importantly, alcohol intake always tips the scales of judgement against you in court... Even the smallest amount of alcohol in your blood is enough to turn a judge or jury against you.
I’ve reviewed cases when an impaired driver was struck from behind and technically innocent, they always lose their case - even if an equally drunk pedestrian walked into the street- if you had alcohol, it is almost impossible to prove you are not at fault.

this judge always has clips played on the news from recognizing two people and then having to deal with really bad people. I am Surprised no network has tried to contact her to do a "Judge Judy" type show
