The Jade character really bums me out. She went from a semi-interesting critical thinker to a mindless drone who can't handle any independent thought, all because she met Neeta, the Queen of Bland.

I like how Jade is supposed to start out as the bad worldly person but the first thing she does is give up her seat for an old woman on the train lmao

Can't wait for part II tomorrow. Reads so much like a Lesbian Rom Com that it hurts. Jade is the flirty, worldly girl. Neeta is the repressed, wholesome Bible nerd. And their world's collide.

The part when the older witness said she basically used to have more fun b4 she joined a cult 😂 they always say the quiet part out loud

I was raised as a JW and dude my mindset had to get reprogrammed... They said I was crazy once I started waking up.

When Nita brought up the illustration about how a little child doesn’t understand certain thing their parents say boiled my blood!! They clearly say a child DOESN’T UNDERSTAND CERTAIN DECISIONS!!! But yet they can get baptized???

Haha this is one of my favorite JW duos. I wish an outside creator would create an ending where Jade and Neeta finally open up about their relationship. LOL

I can't believe no one commented on the fact that Jade wore PANTS...TAN PANTS... to the Hall! GASP! Come on! Tan pants are ONLY for brothers!🤣 You know all the sisters would be in back whispering, "She's new" and "Someone needs to tell her"

Too bad Jade didn't see the red flag of the older "sister" saying she had been involved in music BEFORE she became a Witness!

I like how Jade was the only one who actually helped someone that morning…

Did Jade not catch the “I went to see them all the time Before I was a witness” that doesn’t make the members social out going it actually highlights how closed off becoming a witness makes a person.😢

I'm glad you are doing this. My JW cousin just told me about Jade and Nita last week. I've never been a witness but have been doing research on them for many years. I know so much about them, I've been watching since Jade and Nita first got introduced. My cousin is a born in witness and her and my aunt have been distance from the rest of the family because we are "worldly." Recently my grandma died so there at the funeral my aunt and cousin ask me to go over to their house. I have been to their house since I was a kid. I went over for the first time a few months ago and have been asking so any questions. I know the man behind the curtain so i will not fall into their mind control. It's just really interesting to see how their minds work. Its really sad. I want so bad for them to wake up but I can see how indoctrinated they are. They insisted on a bible study with me and I eventually kind of gave in. I just would like to plant some seeds for them if that's even possible.

I agree that learning organization skills was one positive thing that I learned growing up JW. I pioneered in high school and was even allowed to earn high school credit through a program that focused on developing public skills. Lots of juggling priorities was required since mom had 17 surgeries before I graduated. I had to help take care of my brothers, cook, clean, laundry, and all the meetings study preparations. I also went to a ton of quick builds and was killer at picking up rubbish and debris at the sites. Due to this experience, I was about to pick up my front and back yard after a tornado without the necessity of my husband supervising me! 😁

Good to hear your experience with cart witnessing. I often wonder about the problems these videos cause for the various pioneers in the audience who must have to hold back an incredulous guffaw when they see the endless stream of interest at these things. I used to work in a university for two years and the JWs had a favourite spot just outside the campus boundary: good foot traffic, close to café and lots of young people just like Nade. No one stopped... ever. Four people would stand around for hours - there in the morning, there are lunch - and simply talk amongst themselves as the crowd passed by.

All I think of when I see Jade is this woman in several decades who's going to look back on wasted decades and is still waiting for the promised paradise that Neeta told her about.

If this came out when I was a JW, I would have realized I was gay a lot sooner 🤣🤟

Looking forward to the update 😊 I woke up at 3am New Zealand time because of the heat and saw that you were Live Streaming, really enjoyed watching it and your commentary alongside it. My family are traditionally Catholic, right back since Bishop Pompallier brought Catholicism to New Zealand and time immemorial on my European side. There's A LOT of us due to my Grandmother and her eighteen siblings being so devout and having never used contraception (Neither did their parents obviously 😆) We're extremely tight knit, and when we reach mental maturity we can choose to be confirmed as a Catholic and complete the sacraments or we can even choose to be atheist or follow another faith entirely (I was confirmed as a Catholic when I was younger due to my own insistence but ive grown more agnostic as Ive grown older) The thing I love the most in my family is that no matter what your religion, sexuality, or lifestyle Family are ALWAYS Family. Which is why I've never understood how just under a quarter of my extended family cut us off in their pursuit of the "Truth" perpetuated by the Watchtower and just act like their pre JW way of life was behind them and so are we the people from before they were supposedly enlightened by the Watchtower. I've never understood why these family members excommunicated themselves from the family and went WAAAY out of their way to ignore me in particular due to me being open about my sexuality. Other family members will at least get a quick hello, but if they see me they will quickly cross the road or rush into another aisle at the supermarket 😢 Has the Watchtower taught them that they'll get sick or something by associating with me in particular? These are people that I love, my aunties and cousins. One Aunty was there for me when I first came out, showering me with love and making me feel comfortable in my own skin. It's almost like she's dead now 😢. I see photos of my family that fully joined the Jehovah Witnesses and they have this kind of shadow behind their eyes, like a fake kind of happiness and it's hard to explain

If I were to clean up my place, and organize all my junk, dirty clothes, and other things, it would deprive my wonderful, loving, feline family, of all their favorite cubby-holes to nap in, and piles of "stuff, " to play amidst.
