"Village of the Damned" and "Day of the Triffids" are both adaptations of novels by John Wyndham. I remember reading these and several other of his novels as a teen/high-schooler, one other notable one being "The Chrysalids". I found them totally captivating reads.

The Time Travelers and Planet of the Vampires are very nostalgic for me. They were rarely broadcast on our local creature feature TV channel, so when they were, my friends and I would make a point of getting together to watch them, make a little party out of it. Same for Cyborg 2087, now that I think of it. That one was *really* rare.

I saw Village of the Damned in the movie theater 64 years ago, when I was 10 years old. It made a big impression on me. I don't remember a movie that creeped me out so much until The Exorcist in 1973, which I also saw in the theater. Several of the others you mention I saw, either on TV or YouTube, but none of them impressed me anywhere near as much.

"The Earth Dies Screaming" (1964) filmed by noted Hammer Films Director Terrence Fisher in one of his in-between breaks from Hammer around that time, Lippert Pictures. It really shows.🙄
Don't worry he would fare better directing for Planet Film Productions with "Island of Terror" (1966) & Night of the Big Heat (1967, aka US "Island of the Burning Doomed") before fully returning to Hammer.

These movies did well and still have cult followings, despite their small budgets. Goke (pronounced Go' KAY in Japanese) was really terrifying when I saw it on the TCM channel. . !

The space suits in the modern day sequences of FIRST MEN IN THE MOON were real space suits - they were decommissioned RAF pressure suits. One movie that could have been included was SPACE PROBE TAURUS. How about FANTASTIC VOYAGE? FIRST SPACESHIP ON VENUS?

This video should be called "Some underrated 1960s movies and some real garbage that I put up to fill up space."

Quatermass and the Pit (not Quartermass) is almost impossible to find, these days. Wonder why?

Whoops. I think you accidentally re-uploaded one of your older vids. Or it's the wrong thumbnail for this one. LOL! S'ok man. Mistakes happen. But you might wanna pull this one down & get everything squared away. Love the channel tho. Don't worry, I won't be dropping my subscription over a mistake. Have a good one bud. 🤠

The Day of the Triffids has to be the worst adaptation of a book to film I have ever seen

Ah-h-h- the 60's -- when I was young enough to think alien life existed. Nowadays, I know this TO BE TRUE!! (Biden and Trudeau)
