A league is about 3.4 miles, or 5.5 kilometers. 10, 000 Leagues is 55, 000 kilometers. The Earth is less than 13 thousand kilometers is diameter. This monster is from so deep in the ocean it was in high orbit on the other side of the planet.

This movie is in a league all its own. Used to stay up all Saturday night watching movies like this when I was 12 in '72. I guess I was out of my league

Another well written, well acted, expertly directed, tightly scripted, thought provoking, high budget Sci-Fi movie from the 1950's filmed at Paradise Cove.
