'Two+ Minutes with an ARTeater' Meet Veronica Allen

Veronica Allen, originally from Omaha, NE, is pursuing a BFA in Dance Performance at UC Irvine and expects to graduate in Spring 2023. While being on campus, she has had the opportunity to be a part of a variety of department shows, including both virtual and live performances. Most recently she was in a collaborative piece choreographed by Charlotte Griffin and Ariyan Johnson, which she was able to showcase both modern and house dance. In 2022, she received the Donald McKayle Dance Scholarship and the Claire Trevor Society Scholarship; two awards given to distinguished students for their talent and character. Apart from her studies, she is co-chair of the dance department’s Community Student Advising Committee (CSAC) and is a board member with the student organization, Bare Bones Dance Theater. Both of these groups give her the ability to contribute to the community cultivated at CTSA by providing more opportunities for dancers.
