I studied this in history back then. Recently, I studied all about this heartless Mobutu and Belgians and I cried so hard as I feel so frustrated for not been able to help. Our Limumba and Sankara make me a proud African. Thanks for talking on this issue.

Thank you so much Adeola for this great video.
As a Congolese myself I must say that watching this documentary got me very emotional, although I already knew the entire story. To tell you the truth, the only Congolese satisfied by the apologies of the Belgian Officials are those who know very little about Lumumba and those who are accomplices of Western policies in Africa.
The best reparation, in my opinion, would be to let the Congolese alone decide on the choice of their leaders and to no longer interfere in their politics. In fact this is valid for the vast majority of African countries. Unfortunately, this will not happen as long as we are economically and militarily dependent.

I was sad all through yesterday after watching this episode. We have not learned a thing from all the bad experiences we've had. Modern-day slavery continues. Corruption is the root cause of all these. We are so vulnerable! Selfishness and the inordinate quest for unwarranted power push us to seek for help where there is none. We Africans need a shift of paradigm. We need to believe in ourselves more, support each other and refrain from allowing our colonial masters to continue to divide us because of our own greed. I will continue to share this video to enlighten people about what we Africans do to ourselves whilst not exonerating the west! This calls for a sober reflection. I seriously hope we will learn our lesson.
What a shame!!

We should not forget those who die along with him. May their souls rest in peace.

Nigeria as an example has refused to teach her history to the people. I learnt most of these stories when I studied history for years in the Cameroon secondary education system. If we don't know what happened, we won't know how to chat a way for the future. We should teach our own history. It is important. Salut to Patrice Lumumba.

Thank you Adeola. I can’t understand why History is cancelled as one of the subject in school. Our youth need to learn from all this history to learn from.

I love the Adelola was referring to him as King Leopard even though his name Leopold. He was indeed an animal

Thank you so much Adeola for your work. Your positive impact in Africa is by far more than what you think or imagine; keep up the good work.

Africa and Africans will rise, and nothing can stop. Despite what she has suffered in ages, she still continues to rise. Soon, the real glory of Africa will be manifest for all to see. The resources of Africa will be enjoyed by Africans. That time has come!

Every time I hear or read about our history, it upsets me big time. Africans need to unite and stand strong against all these evils we experienced and are still experiencing

Thank you for this.

I also noticed the importance of highlighting the age of our heroes when they touched the lives of their people in the short time they led their countries. These historical stories should spur us to take back Africa from the claws of neocolonialism and its enablers within African society.

I grew up in that era . He is one of the emblematic leaders spearheading the African Revolution . The specific uranium mine used by the U S A is called NKOLOMBWE . That story of Lumumba is a bitterness many of us will never be able to swallow .Thanks for reminding us .
