The Story of Kwame Nkrumah, the Hero of Independence who lost his country

Kwame Nkrumah, also known as the "black star" and victorious hero, led his country, Ghana, to independence in 1957. He became a hero of exploited Africa and his vision of a free Ghana served as inspiration for many other African states seeking independence from European colonizers. However, after Ghana's independence, Nkrumah transformed the country into an autocratic state and became a despot and megalomaniac, leading to disillusionment in Ghana. He was born in 1909 in Nkroful, which was then a British Crown Colony, and was exposed to resistance movements at a young age. He later went to America for studies, where he was influenced by the writings of Pan Africanists, and returned to Ghana to become an active member of the independence movement.

Nkrumah was a great leader. He did soo much for ghana that is still helping us today. western agents tried to assassinate him soo many times.. he was undermined.

Point of correction don't refer to Nkrumah as autocratic.... Cos he was never one. He is the true son of Mother Africa 🌍. The autocrats were the opposition's.
