The Sacred Realm has always been a mysterious entity in The Legend of Zelda series. In this video we uncover how the Sacred Realm could have originated from the Silent Realm shown in Skyward Sword.

I’ve honestly stopped being nit picky about Zelda lore because I realized that inconsistencies and holes are just as a part of real history. Makes it feel more genuine. I do like the Silent Realm being based on the mentality of the occupant though. Great video!😁

8:27 - There's more evidence that the area the hero of Twilight entered, from the Temple of Time, is the Temple of Light. It even has the symbol of light all across the bottom of the walls, except maybe in Armogohma's chamber.

Great video as always, wish we could actually see the Temple of Light as a dungeon.

The dimension Link fights Demise in is actually a really solid candidate for the Sacred Realm on several contingents:

• The realm's ambience changes from dark and menacing to radiant and serene, which brings to mind the dualistic state of the Sacred Realm when a good or evil person enters it.

• The portal is situated at the Sealed Grounds which is hypothesized to later become the Temple of Time where the entrance to the Sacred Realm is sealed.

• Fi mentions that there is a 0% probability of Link returning to the normal world until after he has defeated Demise, which could hark back to the known instance of the Sacred Realm lacking external portals back to the Light world in ALttP.

• The realm is visually a backdrop of the sky, which mirrors the appearance of the Sacred Realm from OoT.

Hold on, if the knowledge of the triforce is purposefully hidden to protect it… could that explain why the triforce is unmentioned in BotW/TotK? So much time could have passed, it was lost to history.

Basically anybody that enters the Sacred Realm can control it to be whatever as long as the whole Triforce is there to grant their wish. If not there they have to search for the pieces just to make it whole again just to make their wish. Also even more crazier just a piece of a Triforce can end up like Link back in Wind Waker where you had to find 8 pieces just to put his Triforce of Courage back to together. Even more crazier just that piece of Triforce along can either be broken into less than 8 pieces or more than 8 pieces 😵

Not bad, fellas! This is the kind of theorizing I hoped could come out of TOTK. The fact that the Sacred Realm is a reflection of the regular world is something we see in A Link to the Past, just because Hylia set up safeguards so that only Link could reasonably access it is right in line with other protections as you said. A question would be if there is some way to align this theory with Monster Maze's theory that Sky Link was born with the Triforce within him and these trials allowed him to unlock the pieces one by one within himself? I like both of these theories a lot and would be curious to see if they could fit together somehow.
Any thoughts on the fact that in Skyward the three pieces are split from each other? That goes unanswered here. Maybe it's as simple as Hylia can't use the Triforce so it split when she touched it.
Great stuff, will look forward to more!

Great video, but it really grinds my gears when people mispronounce Hylia and Fi.

I just realized something...something that fixes two massive plot holes in the series. It's been theorized that *a timeline split occurred near the end of Skyward Sword* - one where *Demise never fully woke* after getting splatted under a friggan island, and one where he *DID awaken* some time in the past due to Ghirahim's kidnapping of Zelda. Which makes sense, but *what happened to that other timeline? Breath of the Wild, * that's what.

_Near the end of Skyward Sword, Impa advises Zelda to keep the Triforce a secret._

In one timeline, the timeline where Demise got squished like a rather ugly bug, Zelda does keeps this secret (for the most part - the Triforce being seen as an abstract rather than a physical MacGuffin in architecture). It is in this timeline where there is no "Curse of Demise" as he never made it. It is in this world where the Zonai arrive with their Sacred Stones to assist the people in constructing a mighty kingdom they called Hyrule, and Zonai King Rauru marries Zelda's descendant, Sonia. It is in this world that Ganondorf, knowing nothing of the Triforce, lusts for the power of the Zonai Sacred Stones once becoming aware of them.

In the other timeline, Zelda does NOT keep this secret, and it is in this timeline that Demise casts his Curse. For whatever reason, perhaps due to fear of this curse or its' actions, the Triforce is used to build Hyrule, and the Zonai don't arrive. As these are parallel timelines certain events, names, peoples, legends, and even architecture are shared. However, with the Curse of Demise active and knowledge of the Triforce existence among the public, it is this power instead that Ganondorf lusts for, which ultimately leads to yet _another_ timeline split, the one we're all aware of. And it is in this initial timeline that the Spirit of the Hero and the Blood of the Goddess are constantly reborn.

This neatly ties pretty much _every_ inconsistency between Breath of the Wild/Tears of the Kingdom and nearly the rest of the entire series, with the lynchpin being the story that Nintendo _swears_ (for now) is the ultimate origin of everything - Skyward Sword. It can even explain why Zelda was able to "use the Triforce" to banish Calamity Ganon - either as her own concept of the power needed to perform the banishing taking its form, or her tapping into the power of the actual Triforce as the descendant of Hylia to perform the deed. Either way, she wouldn't need to know the Triforce actually exists to perform the banishing, and no-one would think to comment on it.
