Nobody asked but CLC spoke about the concept of this song in a live back when it dropped...

They said the reason they were wearing all the things they said “no” to was because they were choosing to wear them bc the decided that’s what suits them best. Women shouldn’t have to dress according to some trend or how society says beautiful women should dress. They said women should be able to choose whatever they want bc they know themselves and their value best.

I think this theme especially came out in the 3rd and final pre-chorus (when they were saying the stuff they were saying “no” to in Korean instead of in English ) bc they start to veer from physical things to how someone may act to be considered attractive in society (i.e. being sexy, innocent, or acting kind)

This whole song/era was **chefs kiss** 😘 💋

CLC consists in seven members, under Cube Entertainment, same as BtoB, Pentagon and (G)-idle. they first started with a cute colorful concept, but now changed to girl crush. in the same vibe, i recommend "hobgoblin", "black dress" and "me".

about the message behind, what i got it from the lyrics was them, as confident girls, saying "no" to the image that others put on them, based on feminine steriotipes (red lips, earrings, high heels etc). Yujin has a line that says "inoncence, sexy, cute, i can't be summarize in those words", so they said they accept who they are as a plural image inside that feminine body, dening what people forces on them, but using when they feels confortable. in the end is a "love yourself" kind of song, but in the females world, specifically.
