Cube groups are on another level and they (with the exception of Gidle) have taken a long time to get first win (Pentagon still hasn’t gotten a win on any music show). BtoB, the most senior group at cube right now, took 3.7 years to get a win on a music show, CLC took about 3.8 years (I believe) and Pentagon is celebrating their 4th year on Oct 10th without a win. Considering the talent, the personalities, and concepts they can pull off, I really shake my head at the lack of support in SK.
However, Pentagon tops the charts in Japan for every comeback and BtoB now tops the charts in SK (as well as Japan) on comebacks. BtoB found their niche with ballad songs (2017) that captured the general public interest so they are now hugely popular in SK, in enough time for them to start their military hiatus (started in 2019). However, 4 of the 7 members are discharged now and have promised to promote as a group subunit until the younger members discharge in late 2021 and early 2022.
Please consider reacting to some of Pentagon or BtoB music videos (and honestly it doesn’t matter which song you choose because neither group has released a bad song). BtoB (debuted March 21, 2012) is one of the few kpop boygroups that still has all the original members and haven’t had any scandals associated with any of the members. CLC has all the original members but started as a 5 member group and added 2 more members about 11 months after debut. Pentagon (started with 10, now 9) lost 1 member in summer 2018 to a breach of contract with Cube (he confirmed a romantic relationship to the media against the Cube contract which says all romantic relationship must be kept out of the media). (G)I-DLE is a 2 year old group with all 6 original members and has been getting attention in SK and internationally.
Thank you for supporting CLC, they deserve a lot of support.
