Great stuff, Erwan. Kevindra is very knowledgeable. But who came up with your glossary, a Malay? Some of those would be met with confused looks in Jakarta. Try these:
Mushrooms = jamur instead of cendawan
Crab = kepiting instead of ketam
Salted fish = ikan asin instead of masin
Red chillies = cabai/cabe merah instead of merah
And bonus: pig/pork = babi

Salted - Asin
Ikan - fish
Salted fish - ikan asin
Egg - telur
Salted egg - telur asin (usually duck egg instead of chicken egg)
Red - merah
Chilli - cabai / cabe
Red chilli - cabe merah
Green - hijau
Green chillies - cabe hijau / rawit
Crab - kepiting. Ketam is hardly used in daily life.

Glad you featured Jakarta Erwan. I stayed in that city a few years and have very good memories. I agree when you say it is underrated because actually, it is an amazing city.
