This is also insanely accurate for ADHD and Autistic individuals. Especially since we do dinosaur hands a lot because it feels better and often we don’t know what else to do with hands. But this whole video honestly is a vibe for the neurospicy

This is more social anxiety than introversion. Being an introvert just means you get your energy battery recharged by being alone. Being an extrovert means you get your battery charged by being around others.

Eye contact feels so intimate for me idk why. It feels flirtatious to stare at someone the whole conversation 😂

This is basically on a loop while I meet new people.

Does anyone else feel people are irritated with you and intentionally ignore you when you feel like this with them?

As a neuro divergent person with rejection sensitivity dysphoria in a BIG BAD WAY, this rings so true to me that the second I'm invited anywhere, I automatically assume it was just a pity invite so I wouldn't feel bad not being invited. When I've told people that idk if I'm going to go, they ask if I was invited, I say yes, and they can't understand why I feel unwanted.
Though I'm also still undiagnosed and basically, even though I've shown signs and had symptoms of autism AND adhd my ENTIRE life, my mother refuses to acknowledge it until she gets a piece of paper from a doctor that says so.
I'm 34, finding somewhere to be tested is NOT easy. I've learned to mask so well I give myself panic attacks, so now I'm unmasking. I've been working on it for nearly a year now, and i discover new helpful stims all the time. I'm just so thankful the autism and adhd communities are so welcoming even to those of us who haven't been blessed enough to get tested and yet still KNOW we have it.

You know what they say, "The bend and snap. Works every time." 😁

Oh I love this. I don't know if it's something just related to introversion or if it has to do with autism (because I have autism).... But I am constantly monitoring how I should be appearing/reacting throughout conversations with people. This is especially true when I can't understand what they're saying... So I do my best to just plain mirror And I'm typically carrying some kind of thing around that I can hold on to so I don't have to worry about where I'm putting my hands....

Also, when I meet new people for the first time... Which is often because I work in retail as a sales And constantly have to learn new speaking patterns so I know when it's appropriate for me to respond.... Sometimes people leave really long gaps between sentences, so it can take some accidental interruptions before I learn how to identify when it's my turn to respond. And it's different than just waiting to talk. It's literally just about learning when it's acceptable to respond to what I've just heard.

And of course, this is all going on in my head WHILE I'm listening to the person. As I write this, now I'm starting to realize maybe why introverts need to recharge after too much other human exposure. We use a literal fuck ton of brain processing power during interactions thinking about all this stuff.

This really it cracks me up. I wonder how many other people are constantly thinking about this stuff during conversations... Like do extroverts worry about this? Is this also normal neurotypical behavior? Or do other people just know this intuitively? Hmmm.... So many questions.

Would love to hear from anyone who doesn't relate to this...what are they thinking about?

This is why I always wear pants with big pockets, perfect place to hide your hands when your in an awkward situation and you can also fidget nonchalantly!
