Dopamine is naturally produced by the body as a chemical messenger, and it affects many behavioral and physical functions, including: learning, motivation, sleep, mood and attention. It can be positive and give you motivation, or negative if you have an excess or deficiency which can cause mental health issues (ex. too much time on social media, junk food addictions). Go hard or go home. Give everything 💯% and you will see results. Work hard now and reap the rewards later. You will thank yourself 🙏🏻

Despite the title, the key isn't a full detox of dopamine. In fact you can't fully detox yourself from dopamine, it's a naturally occurring part of you. That said, by avoiding certain behaviors, such as spending endless hours scrolling on your phone and social media sites, you may be able to achieve a greater state of mindfulness and prevent mental health issues. Some of the benefits of mindfulness are stress relief, lower blood pressure, and improved sleep. For those struggling with phone addiction, meditation can be a great way to achieve a state of mindfulness.

I always hear people say " work hard, do this or that hard"... But then the fact is we procrastinate when we do hard work, as we might don't like it the hard way.
Instead, I wanna say " do it joyfully, lovingly"..that will make it more effective.

I really needed this. This semester has been really rough due to my lack of motivation, but I'm glad I stumbled upon this video. I hope I can control back my life again like the past semesters when I worked my ass off every day! Thank you, and I hope whoever reads this does well too!

I usally leave my phone in my car( Sometimes I forget). I have a house phone. If I really need to search something the computer is in the living room. That is what helped me almost completely remove social media.

*"The best time to plant a tree was 20 years ago and the next best time is now"* I consider this to be best motivational quote I've heard in a very long time. But motivational quotes are useless if you don't practice what you preach*

Wow I love this. As a stressed pre med student it’s easy to fall in the dopamine rabbit hole. Thank you for the wake up call 💜

What you shouldn't do is a complete dopamine detox. Dopamine receptors usually need 2 weeks to regenerate. So after 2 weeks of reducing phone time you will see improvements in your life

We have to start somewhere - we cannot escape the initial discomfort of _NOT_ giving the mind all the instant gratification it wants...

To the *incredible person* seeing this, I wish you all the best in life❤ don't over blame yourself, accept things and go forward. Don't let others define what “success” is for you. Get up, learn the skills needed and get after it, all the keys to a happy life is in your hands. Keep pushing.

Some of the most motivated people are quite.  They are not jumping up and down, making lot’s of noise, and putting on a show to showcase how motivated they are.  Rather, they are busy, nose to the grind, thinking, acting, and accomplishing day in and day out.
