This is a really inexpensive battery, alternator, and starter tester. It works really well for testing lead acid batteries.

Use the 500 amp carbon pile load tester to test 12 volt batteries, alternators, regulators and starters by putting a load on the system to simulate working conditions. The device features separate color-coded volt and amp meters.

I'm don't know if testing 2 times at 395 amps (1/2 of 790) would have made a difference. You tested 1/2 of 650 (325). Anyway I got the idea of how to use it. I can't find my instruction sheet so thanks for this.

Um, I have one of these and with 790 CCA battery you use the blue scale, or if you are using the black like you did, half of 790 is 395. Good video none the less. Just didn't fully test it like you could have.
