Pakistan struggles to avoid IMF bailout

Pakistan’s central bank is dangerously low on foreign currency. While the economy has double-digit growth, the country’s imports are still outpacing it’s exports. That is making it difficult to maintain foreign debt repayments.

Pakistan spent nearly 14billion dollars on their army. If they cut off their fund they can easily manage this balance crisis. Look at Bangladesh, they don't go to imf, China, Saudi arabia with a begging bowl for balance payment crisis. Their export is nearly 37 billion dollars and they are growing at 7.2%.

By now the international community must be thinking " How is Pakistan even a country ?". It's a classic example of nuclear blackmail. The west doesn't want another country going rogue like North Korea. If there was no nuke, Pakistan would have followed the Afghan story .

I still dont understand economics, if you earn 1k, how do you you spend 1.5k? Through credit? Then you should abstain from obtaining credit. You shouldnt consume more than you can earn. That applies to country as well

The main country is just the Punjab province of Porkistan. Rest all are grabbed by waging wars and raping. I just fear for the countries that will come out of it like Baluchistan, Pkhtunistan and Sindh. And i hope we can help them out
