Inflation rises to 48-year high as government seeks IMF bailout

Pakistan's inflation is at a 48-year high, as the country struggles to service its high foreign debt. With limited opportunities at home, more than 800,000 Pakistanis have also left the country in 2022 to work overseas. An IMF team is now in Islamabad for crucial talks, as the South Asian nation seeks to avoid defaulting on its loan.

As a person from the rich, beautiful and peaceful country of Pakistan, the situation for people here is very tough during this winter season. Due to a shortage of electricity, people are suffering in the cold and food is very expensive to buy. We are also storing LPG gas in plastic balloons, which I fear may burst someday without Allahhu Akbar warning. I have been chasing wheat trucks for a month but have not received any wheat. I was even pushed into a gutter.😭
