Between being barely used in this, written out of Star Wars during production, and wasted on Morbius, Matt Smith is criminally underutilized by Hollywood. It blows my mind that out of the two enigmatic series leads of Steven Moffat penned 2010 British cultural juggernaut BBC Dramas, Benedict Cumberbatch is the one who became an American A lister.

I get it that Genisys was no where near the caliber that was the first two movies, but the planned plot they had for the cancelled Genisys Trilogy may have actually linked all the Terminator movies together and fixed all the inconsistencies and plot holes (especially with Rise of the Machines and Salvation). From what I had read was that THIS mobile version of skynet (Matt Smith) was actually travelling through different timelines to see in which ways he could defeat John Connor, so kind of like the Spiderman multiverse thing where you had Terminator 1 and 2 in a different realm and Rise of the Machines in another etc. etc.
