the major problem is not necessarily the effectiveness of TCM, but the fact that animals are going extinct because of the demand for their bodyparts....

Just as in most traditional medicines though, some is effective, some not, some will harm you. Some things, like Rhino horn, is made of the same thing as hair (literally) yet is poached because traditional medicine says it will give you strength/virility.

I am getting a pound of Korean Red Panax Ginseng today. I use it and Licorice Root and Cinnamon to replace coffee. I started studying herbs in 1999.

This isnt good. Those ingrediants need to be boiled, not steeped. Almost all hebs need to be boiled. It breaks down the plant... what a proufoundly sad situation.
Im not upset about rebranding or even taking a second look at aspects of the practice of say using Bear Paws, but... dont dilute the real piswer behind the practice.
