Wow, that story with the ex-military guy was one of the best I've heard on here. I haven't done a lot of camping in my life, but it sounds like that it would be advisable not camp in that area of Yellowstone he did.

I'm sorry, but I'm finally gonna say something about hikers. Their mantra "We all gotta hike our own hike" or whatever is not a reason to let someone get shredded by a predator just because you don't have enough proof for a court of law. If something just shredded your tent, then tell ppl their life is in danger, and if you see you cannot persuade them, tell them when you find the police, you're gonna send them them after them. That should convince them you're serious. Whether they choose to believe or not, ya have to do the right thing, and that is everything in your power to save them.
