When your partner doesn't support you and makes you feels like you aren't enough, that's your cue to go. It's better to be alone and believe in yourself than being constantly criticized by someone who "loves" you.

Here’s a few more. Not necessarily my experience but things I’ve heard of.

He doesn’t like kids and you have one.

He doesn’t have a job and isn’t interested in getting one.

He doesn’t like your family and friends for no apparent reason.

He never comes to your defense even when you’re in the right. As in he keeps mum when you’re in the right and he jumps to the other person’s defense when you’re wrong.

He doesn’t “do” weddings or other family gatherings.

You’re neat. He’s a slob.

He doesn’t take responsibility for his own life.

He doesn’t like your dog.

I remember dating this guy and he always made an excuse to why he was so busy and would go days and not call me. And I brought it to his attention and he dumped me. I was sad and left him alone and then 6 months later met my husband. When you let things go that aren't for you, you meet someone who is. And then I had another guy I was seeing before my husband and I flew to go and see him and he treated me horribly. He told me that he was gonna just leave me at the airport. And I remember going to see him and he stopped calling me and he didn't call me for two months and in that two months I met my college sweetheart who I was with for 4 years. So It's like we waste so much time on someone who isn't for us.

Long story short: they don't hear you or see you. (The real you, and not some idea in their head inspired by actors.) And because you're either an object of their imagination, or otherwise invisible, so then they obviously centre themself and their own needs the majority of the time. And they also make impulsive and/or fear-based decisions and/or encourage you to do so.

GREEN FLAGS: they genuinely care about you and it wasn't just a love-bomb (meaning that the care continues, even in times of difficulty, they'll always hold space for you).

It should be simple. But everyone is so easily swayed from one extreme or the other... either too cool to be vulnerable, or too desperate to say "eff off" when needed.... no balance
