Lovers are separated and they sing these kind of songs to each other, which are kind of au revoirs, songs that say, “I am waiting for you to come back.” In the song I think you can feel the movement of the people as they separate, already looking forward to when, hopefully, they will see each other again when the floods have passed. In troubled times, ‘here’s hoping’ is such a strong message.”
