This worked in 5 days, the puppy has the concept and is almost ready to try out in the open, another week or so and he will have my trust, 7 months old currently but the pup has the enthusiasm to please...

Every dog is different. The benefit of this channel is we get to see a variety of dogs under going the same training and the difference in progression. I have to laugh the camera man wife cannot hold her tough sometimes😅 classic. What is funnier is they don't edit it out 😅😂😂😅. Females🤷‍♀️🤦‍♀️ we are such know it all, pains in the booty 😅😂🤣😂😅

Awesome vid. My GWP is right around this age. Behavior on recall is almost identical to your sweet girl 😂 just got my e-collar, starting training next week.

Picking up a gsp puppy this week. Our lab was (is) a trainer’s dream dog, but I’m nervous the gsp will be a bit more of a handful. Binging all your videos because it’s been 9 years since we’ve had a puppy 😬.

I question the validity of anyone claiming shock collars are a terrible tool for bird dogs. Yeah, I got a border collie never used a shock collar on it. She just does what you do. Never leaves more than 30 yards. English setter on the other hand, needs the collar couple times a year. At 30 yards, any dog will listen. At 100 yards, love to see an English setter, with regular breeding from just a neighbor, be in complete control with pheasant in them. Sure some will, others won't. I think shock collar is the greatest thing for dog training since the creation of sliced bread. Don't know anyone in person who doesn't agree.

Hey, So my dog fully understands recall, understands ecollar pressure and the potential of a ecollar. Do you have any tips if my dogs istraction is so high that when offleash he engages with a high istraction and blows through the ecollar and ignores recall. Do I bump up the setting/correction on the ecollar?

We got a brittany pup that from day one was independent and training is going well but I can't slack on it or he goes back to being more independent then wanting to do his job... I'll get there before the season starts.

I need to get back reinforce where my 8month old is to go when recalled. Don't assume, as I did, that because your dog recalls to you 99 percent of the time, she is trained. Just yesterday I was mowing grass and my wife let the dog out. she used the vibrate or tone on the collar to recall the dog and instead of recalling to her, the dog just ran faster to me. Thankfully I was across a yard and not across a busy street. S

The leash was one of primary reasons I like an ecollar. Neither I not my Lab like using a leash.
No I have a English Setter puppy to train.

You need to rename that pup to “Cyclone” lol great video but I’ll be honest I had to rewind quite a few times because I was laughing at the pup lol

with teaching the dog to go to another person. Are you training them to go to anyone to get the vibrate off? What if my dog goes to a person in another field or stranger on the road? Hoping they never run off like that. But, does the dog see a person and think I need to run to any person to get this to turn off?

Love your videos. Question for you I’ve been doing the vibration for my puppy at seven months old and she’s responding super well to it coming to me on the vibration and eating her food. It’s an enjoyable experience for her. Every time I put the collar on she sits down and wants to go train. When do I use the stimulization? I don’t want to use it too much but I know when hunting season comes there’s gonna be times where she might get too far and I need to put it to use or gets on a bird and won’t come back. Thanks.

I notice that when you praise or give reward it seems a little light, pet them tell them they are good. I'm not a pro and don't claim to be but i give them lovin's i make a big deal about what they did right, i get excited with them give them a kiss on their mussel or a hug. Is what i do wrong for the training session?

Love your channel and enjoy all the videos, been re-watching them as i am waiting for my new GSP pup to come later this year.
