All I know is this is awesome for the consumers. $150000 300 series with a 670kg load capacity…..the piss take days are over. Australia welcomes Mahindra, Ssangyong etc, the market is all yours given the big companies have been bending us over for years.

A Guy "Indian Backpacker" who took Mahindra Scorpion N from INDIA to LONDON via IRAN, TURKEY, and the whole of Europe till LONDON. And Now he is again on a road trip from INDIA TO AUSTRALIA. His entire journey is uploaded on YouTube by the channel name "INDIAN BACKPACKER". This vehicle is now a tested product of Mahindra. Mahindra is very serious in his business.

Given the plethora of offroad tests that have been done on the Mahindra Scorpio-N in Australia, South Africa and in it's home Country the capability of this vehicle has been proven beyond any reasonable doubt....in fact most owners would not even subject it to such harsh environments.
Thumbs up to Mahindra....just attend to the few flaws pointed out by the independent testers and you will have a superb affordable offroad capable vehicle which will take the market by storm even outside India.

Mahindra clearly have big future plans for Australia, which is exciting for us.

Whoa! The ditches were massive. The car was swinging wildly.. was fun to watch.👍 Mahindra do sell the highest numbers of tractors in the world, even more than John Deer! Good to see they have improved their cars so much

When you see the sort of work these vehicles are expected to do everyday in India, you realise just how tuff they.

Great to see a cheaper alternative that can keep up with overpriced over rated brands

For a manufacturer that I had never heard of about 2 years or even 18 months ago, Mahindra is very quickly getting global recognition and that says a lot about their abilities and possibly about their quality too. Whilst not a fair or an equal comparison perhaps, I am getting better vibes from Mahindra than I am from Ineos. I doubt they will be entering the Japanese market anytime soon, which is a shame and bad luck for me. One never knows though...In the meantime, they nevertheless, have my attention.

Great tip, also known as "driving through the brakes".
First time I went from manual to auto off-road in L4 down a real steep hill I had a sharp learning curve when I realised I didn't have the engine compression to assist.
Good technique to learn and practice as well for emergency hill start recovery.

Yeah Paul that terrain in India is tough just like our roads in Swaziland. This car is well trusted here we even call it a tractor. But i think there are tough roads in Africa like the ones in DRC which even the Toyota LandCruiser sweats to pass through. A friend from DRC ususally says let's take it to DRC to see if it's a real 4x4. Cheers. Spacious bbeautifully designed & engineered great car, great review.

I test drove the Scorpio N. It was quite awesome that my wife liked it too. A couple of things make me reluctant to buy though: supply chain of spares and approved accessories.
