TRAVEL DAY || Flying Ryanair from Athens to BUDAPEST!!🇭🇺
Показать описание
This vlog takes us from Athens, Greece to the beautiful Eastern European city of Budapest!
This day was INCREDIBLY long but turned out to be so worth it as Budapest is hands down the most beautiful city we've been to thus far.
We begin the journey by leaving our Airbnb in Athens after an amazing week. We navigate our way through the city to Syntagma Square, which is a jumping off point in the city center for the X95 bus. This bus takes people to and from the airport for just 5.50 EUROS!! That's such a great deal!! We ride the bus for about an hour until we arrive at Athens International Airport (which is nowhere close to the city center btw). We go through security and begin our very long wait before our flight that evening.
When spending lots of time in an airport, it's extremely advantageous for us to have lounge access. The majority of our time was spent in the Goldair Handling CIP Lounge until it closed, which prompted us to spend the last hour of our wait in the SkyServ Melina Merkouri Lounge. We have access to these lounges with a Priority Pass membership which came with our American Express Platinum card. This card provides a host of benefits that can really help you meet your travel goals/ambitions and currently has a MASSIVE New Member Offer of 100,00 points. That's over $1,000 in travel credit! After about 10 hours in the Athens Airport lounges, we make our way over to the gate. Upon arriving at the gate we noticed that this would be another one of those shuttle situations to our plane. After boarding we quickly made our way down the runway and took off to Budapest! This was an extremely smooth flight and we've had some pretty great experiences thus far by flying with Ryanair.
After arriving and making our way through the COVID checkpoints, we walked outside to purchase our bus tickets. Our tickets were 900 HUF, or about 2.70 Euros. Such a great deal!! We fought our drowsiness while riding the bus and arrived in the center of Budapest in no time. After a short walk, we made our way into our Airbnb where we crashed immediately. This was definitely one of the more difficult travel days we've had mostly because of how long we had to wait. However, since we're traveling on a budget, we felt like it was a small price to pay in exchange for outstanding fares.
Thank you so much for following along on our journey and if you like our content then YAY!! Please feel free to subscribe and like our video as it helps us tremendously and let us know in the comments what part was your favorite!! See you on the next leg!!
