106 felt unsatisfied. Because 173 showed no signs of fear, pain or suffering before death, that he was unable to tell if it was dead. Also it got two good hits in. No ones been able to do that before. He now wonders if there are beings stronger than he out there and that perhaps he should be more careful around other anomalies _(he experiences a moment of fear)._

One of the creepiest things about this is not just the haunting and melancholy music, but the way 106 silently hangs his head, looking lost in thought.

Director: You wanted to see me?
Researcher: Yes, it's in regards to the incident with the Old Man and....
Director: The Statue, yeah. Good to know a problem" has been solved at last.
(long pause)
D: Is that it?
R: (beat) Huh? O-oh, no. It's...something new has happened with the Old Man.
D: New? Has he been getting more active?
R: In a sense, yes, but not in the way we're familiar with.
D: Explain.
R: Well, he has begun moving around more, and he's been disappearing into his pocket dimension more often.
D: Are you sure that's it?
R: Well, we know that the Statue was brought into the Old Man's world for awhile, and when it came out, it was just rebar. Then...well the recordings look like it...like it stabbed him with it's arm.
D: I am aware of this, this isn't all that new to me.
R: Well, yes...then it got rid of the last of the thing.
D: Well, If that's all, then you
R: No, I...(pauses) Sir....(sighs) Sir, something has changed with the subject since the statue was gotten rid of.
D: What is it?
R: I can't seem to fully place it, but it is incredibly irregular, even for him. He has been pacing around his cell, and as I mention, he's been going into his pocket dimension more and more. From what we can gather, there's a corner of the room he seems to avoid; he- (sigh) He doesn't even look at it, let alone approach it. And there's other things as well. You remember last week when he managed to breach?
D: Yes, I remember. It was over with quite quickly.
R: (pauses) Sort of.
D: What do you mean, "sort of"?
R: We checked security and counted heads after he got out. Some were injured, yes, but no one was missing or found to be dead. Looking at the video feed....it looks...it looks like he was making a straight beeline for the exit. We managed to get an MTF with some of the emergency light guns to sent him back, but...with all those people in his way....it's like he...(pauses). Sir, we even got a D-Class to act as a lure, we broadcast his- (beat) His screams kept going. It's like sight) It's like he _ignored_ them entirely.
D: Excuse me?
R: It doesn't make any sense. It just doesn't-
D: (interrupting) What happened?
R: Well, getting back to the "sort of" inquiry, he was almost shepherded back to the chamber where his box is held, but...he kept wandering around, looking at the box. It took a while, but he got inside. By that point the subject expired from what we assume to be blood loss.
D: Did he take the bait?
R: Sir, the body is still there.
D: What? You mean he didn't take it?
R: Well, he's started to. It's like he refused to get anywhere near it when he got inside. When he got close, he'd shy away from it. He's always looking around his shoulder all the time, too. He looks everywhere but that corner. Not only that, he's been curling up on the floor, leaning against walls-- (beat) He's *never* done anything like this before.
D: How long has this been going on?
R: Since the Statue was destroyed.
D: Has he been making any attempts at escape since last week?
R: Doesn't seem like it, no. And then there's....(trails off)
D: What?
R: Sir, I was just watching when- (pauses) Sir, that's when I decided to go to you on this.
D: What happened? What did you see?
R: I was watching him for awhile, then...I could have sworn I heard something. I turned up the volume to the microphone, then adjusted the audio a bit, took a recording and adjusted it some more, and...(pauses) Sir, it sounded like he was vocalizing. I couldn't make heads or tails of it, to be honest, but....it sounded almost like-(beat) To me it sounded almost like... _muttering_ .
(long pause)
D: Show me. Now.
R: Y-yes, right this way sir.

I’m honestly glad SCP-173 got to the D class first because it ended the mans suffering unlike SCP-106 who was probably going to torture the D class
