I grabbed a clip from a recent twitch stream to share with you guys. I'm obsessed with the Darkglass Electronics Microtubes X Ultra. And when you play Henrik Linder's signature Mattisson 4-string bass through it... well, you can hear the results in the video. Super fun! Don't forget to follow on twitch to see all this stuff go down live every day.

What an absolutely WILD (I mean it in the best way possible!) jam! The crossfade was fantastic, and the build you had created was awesome. Great aggressive overdrive tone! The combination of palm muting and double thumbing is a technique I think I'm going to have to start woodshedding on! Great video!

Janek's simplicity and humility in relation to the thumb technique, is captivating.
That's why I have it as part of my musical influence. It will soon be broken.
I realized that maybe certain frequencies there I can reach with my BB preamp by changing some tuning, I will test test it on my warwick thumb.

Yo Janek... looks like you've really embraced double thumping! Maybe it doesn't mean much for you but that's the best kind of inspiration you can give us: "Wow, this looks cool, let's try to work on this" and work your ass off until you get it right. That's why I love your content! Thanks bro!

It is great. Love how inspiration comes in a little time instantly and you become to play in fire hahaha. Cheers Janek very greatful for the streams in twitch. I was the one who proposed the fuzz and chorus as the name of alobo0

It gave me some cyberpunk/futuristic vibes. Very cool loop

Can't help but keep thinking of Chelsea hammering on the door shouting "JAN-EK... Turn it DOWN!" 😂

That’s the overdrive I use. Went through a lot of them before I got the x. Nice loop

Do you use a different gauge of strings for drop C? I've found a 50-120 D'addario set that I like for D standard and drop C.

Kind of interesting to see Janek with a BEAD 4 string, I strongly associate him with EADGC

What a great overdrive tone. I hear too many that are only interesting in the high end of the frequency spectrum. This one has that grind shit in the vocal range. Beautiful.

Janek, how to get this reverbed-swelling sound since 3:20?

Kinda sikk. I like it. Definitely something you can build off of.

Think there’s more a tilt of your cap to Tosin than Victor on this track… Sounds fucking awesome though

Are you buddies with Nathan Navarro? He uses the double thumb technique a lot with heavy textures like this. Highly recommend checking him out for some more inspiration if you haven't already!

Sorry, i am Old School. The distortion sound is not my sound.

Sorry but that's your worst "review" so far Janek. :)

Awful sound....looks like we are going backwards as bassists .Jaco did this in 1980 dark distorted disjointed noise especially when his mental illness was at its peak. If Janek starts painting his face with magic markers call the mind police 😀
