Should Christians curse?
Is cursing relating to people or an offense to God?

Let's talk about it using God's Word!

Jesus said that we'd be judged for every careless word we utter. He also said that by our words we would be justified and by our words we'd be condemned, Out of the abundance/treasure of our hearts our mouths speak (Matthew 12:33-37). The "cursing during a sermon" example is excellent. People will largely forget the biblical element and focus on the ugly words. Attention is drawn away from God and focused on the speaker for sinful reasons. That's the speaker exulting himself, i.e. idol worship and love of self (2 Timothy 3:1-5, 1 John 5:21).

AMEN 100%! It's simple to understand, but so many Christians make excuses to continue doing it. The most popular excuse is: "well, nearly the entire English language is cursing, thats why they call it 'spelling', etc. The whole language is bad"🙄

The Bible also says a fountain cannot produce water that is both bitter and sweet
