There is no physical difference between a a 4.8 ltr and a 6.2 ltr on the outside dimensions.

the Boxer motor is soo obsolete in todays standards, prehistoric technology, but the consumers ( fans ) love the sound of the engines, so they keep selling them, the boxer motors are guttless !

so I dont blame ya for swapping an LS in there !

Jeez I had a mockup of our RS with an LS. I changed my mind and then we built a 10, 000rpm NA motor. I don't regret it the sound was awesome.
Sure miss that car.

I'd have liked to have seen it up on the lift to see what they did with the headers and exhaust work as well as the crossmember, oil pan, steering rack, fab work for the motor and trans mounts, if they sealed off where the half shafts mate to the knuckles in the front, etc.

Mine isnt a gen 3 GM engine but it sure is fun to drive. The turbo V8 makes these super car status.
