F-35B Lightning II Saturday Demo .. Miramar Airshow 2017 (4K)

The latest generation tactical jet, the F-35B demonstrates some of its capabilities, including a hover and STOL, over the skies of MCAS Miramar.

This needs to be done all over the World to demonstrate what this VSTOL aircraft can do. The Major flying that F-35 flew an impressive demonstration; first time I saw one just after take off sit on it's tail and go straight up. Awesome flying!

What's confusing is how so many people judge this plane as if it's supposed to be an air-superiority fighter when it's not designed to be that, if I'm correct?? Wasn't this plane designed to be a Fighter / Attack aircraft striking ground targets 1st and then air targets if it comes to that?? For Air Superiority don't we have F-15s and F-22s for that role??? F-35 by itself may struggle air-to-air (not it's primary role), but working together with F-16s, F-15s, and the ridiculously OPd F-22 is the plan right!?

People just don't understand that the future isnt about dog fighting. Other Jets can fly as fast as they want or move faster, turn quicker but that isn't going to help you when the F35 shoots you out of sky before you even know it's in the sky's with you!! People are to fixated on the movie Top Gun. It's all about who sees who first on radar then using all the different platforms the US has linked to the F35 to shoot first and destroy before anything even comes close to it. This is the future of arial combat. Flying computers that kill before being detected.
