Jogless stripes and colourwork

I have seen different methods to avoid the jog when knitting stripes and colourwork. The most obvious is to even out the jog when weaving in the ends.

But what do you do when you carry over the yarn from the previous stripe or knit colourwork?

There’s the method where you slip the first stitch of a round, but I just can’t live with the idea that I will have fewer stitches in one column than in the rest 😨😱

The simplest method I have seen is also the one I find most convincing. When starting a new round, twist the yarns anti-clockwise. That way, the yarns will be pulling in opposite directions evening out the jog. The more you stretch the “seam”, the more the jog is evened out. 😎
