I’m continuing on from my previous videos where I'm talking you through all the steps to tackle your own plasterboard and plastering projects.

We talked about framing and then plasterboard types and sizes, and... Since we're ready to fix our boards to our frame, let's talk about that sometimes overlooked discipline.... Actually fixing the Plasterboard or Gyproc or drywall ;) to the frame . It may seem as simple as buying some drywall screws and getting on with it, but there’s far more to it than that. Length, quantity and drive depth are important, and differ depending on the type of surface.

If you want to avoid hairline cracks after you’ve decorated, make sure you watch this vid!!

This is Part 4 in a series on plasterboard, and you can see the others as follows:

Part 1 - HOW TO PLASTER AS A DIYer- All the stages - framing for drywall

Part 2 - WHICH TYPE OF PLASTERBOARD?? Drywall? Gypsum? size thickness and depth....Part 2

Part 3 - WHAT COLOUR OF PLASTERBOARD? Architect shows you how.
