The INSANE Prime of Chipper Jones

Показать описание
Chipper Jones is one of the best switch hitters in baseball history. Only Mickey Mantle and Eddie Murray have more career home runs! Chipper was a hitting machine from both sides of the plate, and was a major part of the Atlanta Braves dynasty in the 1990s. His ability to come up big in clutch moments was present from Opening Day into the postseason. Chipper had well documented success against Randy Johnson, arguably the greatest pitcher of his generation. From a small town kid to one of baseball’s all time greats, Chipper Jones’ legacy transcends the era he played in.

All time favorite player for me when I was growing up. Absolutely love how Austin Riley has been able to step into that position and honor Chippers legacy. Braves are building a dynasty right now!!

Chipper never struck out over 100 times in a season. Thats incredibly rare for a slugger in the modern era.

Growing up a baseball fan in Atlanta in the 90's, Chipper was always my favorite player. I don't think a lot of people really appreciate just how amazing a player he was. Thanks for the video!

As a Phillies fan, it was rough whenever Chipper Jones was on a hot streak - but i will always admire how talented he was - even with him playing for the rival ATL Braves.

Larry Wayne Jones Jr. is one of the greatest hitters in the history of the game. Being in the stands hearing crazy train with the game on the line, you knew he was gonna come thru for the team. Thank you for the greatest memories of my life watching you become an Atlanta Braves Icon. There will never be another player like him. He’s the best there is, was, and ever will be. I tip my cap to you Chipper your a legend to Braves fans.

My favorite baseball player of all time, my entire life I can remember watching him on TBS 4-5 days a week. He was the reason I wore my socks high when I played baseball...He was always just so consistent and clutch. Rafael Furcal, Marcus Giles, Chipper Jones, Gary Sheffield, Andruw Jones, Julio Franco, Javy Lopez, Vinny Castilla and then the pitcher, that was my favorite lineup in the history of sports...like 2002, 2003 game was just a treat to watch and I will always remember with fond memories.

To me, if you're a baseball player who, for your career you hit .300/.400/.500, you really are the elite of elite. I grew up watching Chipper, watching this video reminded me how truly insanely great he was.

Also- I forgot he was inducted with Vlad, Thome, Hoff etc... what a class!!

I still remember as a young Braves fan opening up a pack of Topps baseball cards and getting his rookie card as my very first card. I decided at that moment to follow his career, and I never regretted it.

Chipper as my favorite Braves of all time. The reason why I played baseball loved how he didn’t always just try to crush the ball every at bat.. just get on base!!

I always appreciate how you incorporated who these people were off the field as well. That stuff gets easily overlooked in a lot of player's histories.

I feel like a lot of fans sleep on Chipper Jones' greatness. I got to meet him at a luncheon for the Greg Maddux Night @ Turner Field. He was super cool to everyone that wanted to take a picture with him. I was also at his last game, the infamous "Infield Fly Rule" game in the postseason against the Cards. I wasn't a part of throwing garbage on the field, which was SURREAL. But in his last ever AB.. he recorded an infield single, in the same way he scored his first hit in 1993. Thanks for the video!!!

POUR LARRY A CROWN!
