Wolff-Parkinson-White (WPW) is classically caused by the presence of a congenital accessory pathway, aka as the bundle of kent, which can lead to arrhythmias. You will classically see a shortened PR interval along with a delta wave on your EKG.

Diagnosed with this syndrome at 10 years old. Had felt the tachycardia while I was playing football but didn't give it much attention. About 1 hour after the session had ended and the tachycardia wouldn't stop I told my mum and we got to the hospital. At the time I had been at roughly 250 beats per minute for four hours( To give you a perspective, for your heart, that's like sprinting at maximum effort for 4 hours constantly) Immediately after I got to the hospital I had an adenosine shot and my heart beat came back to normal. About a year after I had a catheter ablation procedure and now at 14 my heart is totally healthy and normal.

Found out i had WPW syndrome last Was a fit 51 year old never ever had a single symptom in my life before and found out by having a sudden cardiac arrest, 17 mins cpr by my son, week in a coma and was even lucky enough to make a full recovery without a hypoxia brain injury, so very lucky that day 🙏🏻🙏🏻🙏🏻🙏🏻🙏🏻🙏🏻🙏🏻🙏🏻🙏🏻🙏🏻🙏🏻, had an ablation to correct before I was able to leave Not the best way to find out i had it though 😣😣😣

Please can you explain AVNRT, orthodromic/antidromic AVRT? also the ECG differences between antidromic AVRT and WPW if any or are they the same? The differences between AVNRT and orthodromic AVRT, if it's distinguishable?
