I love the fact this perfectly captures how serial killers act, the only reason we know people like Dahmer is because they got caught, there's kinda an uncanny valley thing if you know what to look for but generally they always seem like normal lovable people

Jokes aside, that's what makes serial killers so terrifying. Usually they're so good at getting your guard down and gaining your trust that even if you knew what they were, you could convince yourself that you were different, and that they actually cared about you above the others.
