I made a couple changes. I went with 1/4 cup of yogurt and 1/4 cup of mayo. Instead of the vinegar I used some kosher dill pickle juice. I figured that would add vinegar, salt and dill. Plus I didn't wait for the water to drain. I just grabbed handfuls with paper towels and squeezed out the water. Too lazy to wait an hour LOL Tastes pretty good, but I assume it will be a lot better once it's been in the frig for a few hours.

Creamy cucumber salad is a very popular summer salad in Poland called Mizeria ...and no, there’s nothing miserable about it 😂, on the contrary, it’s wonderful. Traditionally it’s made from sliced cucumbers, white or regular yellow onion, garnished with chopped fresh dill, salt and black pepper, the dressing is simply mixture of sour cream and a tsp or TBs of white vinegar mixed in just before serving, so the cucumbers remain crisp, not saggy. Perfect salad for picnic, barbecue, outdoor cookout or just as lunch on a hot day. In USA I started to jazzy up the classic recipe by substituting red onion, white wine vinegar and low fat sour cream or Greek yogurt, it all tastes great to me. Sea salt and fresh ground pepper a must.

Just made this, It was bomb! Didn't have rice vinegar, substituted it for a little apple cider vinegar instead. Didn't have fresh dill so I used dry dill. Still came out delish! Thanks for the recipe!

I squeeze water out of cucumbers without adding salt and drink it because has lots of vitamins and good detox for insomnia. Instead of vinegar I add little bit lemon juice, sour cream, salt pepper and dill. Instead of onion I add a little bit green onion but you don’t have to. This is my favorite salad I love it. I grow cucumbers every year to fight insomnia with it

Awesome 😋 I personally have never used black pepper as a garnish, only seasoning. I’m sure seasoning with lemon pepper would’ve made this next level

I'm not much for salads but my cleaning lady comes every two weeks, a farm girl who cooks for a family of five and deals with I don't like this or that and so she cooks around them. For a treat I always prepare a special lunch for her and served this salad, and she raved about it. I guess the accolades don't get any better than that.
