As a person who lives in dartmouth (just across the harbour from halifax), its has gotten really bad, theres been at least 6-7 alerts within the past 24 hours, most being about the changes in the range that the evacuation is happening. And yesterday was also really bad, as one of the only things you could see in the sky in the evening was the large smoke cloud from said fires. Even iHeartRadio (a well known radio station in NS) has said "Basically, all hell is breaking lose"

as someone who lives in nova scotia, i know thousands have had to evacuate their homes and the fires are reaching where i live. i hope everyone in ns can stay strong

As someone from mississauga I wish the best for the people in my country who have to deal with the fires. Hope yall are safe.

I was one of the people evacuated during the Halifax wildfire. I was first notified of the fire by an EAS alarm, and we could see a large pillar of smoke in the direction of the fire. The fire spread rapidly that multiple areas (~14, 000 people) had to be evacuated within a few hours. Fortunately no body was injured, including me. As of May 29 local time, most of the fire has been extinguished.

I’ll take it from here. My house was one of the first five houses lost.
In all 250 houses had damage or been destroyed we are still recovering from it and our house haven’t started even rebuilding yet…

Canadian here. Yeah we got a couple going right now. There’s a few in Alberta, last thing I heard about it is that down areas are allowing residents back to their homes while others still can’t. We have the ones in Nova Scotia near Halifax because of dryer weather. We also have one in New Brunswick. So like a 4th of our country is on fire right now but it’s fine

I was so surprised when u said Halifax! I live in Nova Scotia and it feels like barely anyone even knows we exist lol. Anyway I’m so glad I didn’t even have to get evacuated, but I was in tantallon a couple weeks ago and the forests were just burnt tree stumps 😥so sorry to anyone who lost their home :(

The alberta one is still active, its very hard to breathe sometimes here on new brunswick from smoke

My art teacher had to evacuate her house cause of the last wildfire, I don’t personally now anyone affected by the current one, but my best wishes go out to them❤️

Canadian here! Yep these fires are bad, I'm not even where it is but it is nearby it's very smokey outside can't even see the sky

Man, just a few weeks back the smoke we were getting in Washington from Canada was crazy, and weird for me since our usual summer smoke normally comes from California or Oregon. Wish Canada the best!

As a Canadian in BC wildfires seem like a yearly occurrence
