Big timber like that cannot be grown with eleven inches of rain a year. This is truly a bummer.

As tragic as these fires are, I suggest people buy a ring, or nest camera for the outside of their house, which might help with investigations, and insurance, alleviate worries over your own homes, take care, and God Bless those who help themselves. Thanks for the updates.

Grass usually turns yellow or brown before wild fires break out.

NOTHING about this makes ANY sense at all. So Halifax receives a normal amount of rain for the month of May but somehow there's an incredible 176 Wildfires this season? The weather forecast for Halifax is for rain showers for the next 2 WEEKS..! But yet it's never mentioned on any newscast? If the temps are so oppressive then why is the reporter wearing a jacket/coat? Why isn't the military involved? Maine has very similar weather yet they haven't seen this problem...why?
Having lived in Colorado myself under fire conditions many times worse than now exist in Nova Scotia...I would say the scale of these fires and the sheer number of random fires definitely need to be fully investigated.

Deliberately set fires. Keep the fear and control alive. Rolling travel restrictions for camping and cottages all summer long. All part of the plan

I don't drive and have always figured should a fire happen near where I live I'd have to be one of those fighting it, why doesn't everyone just have training for this and fight the fires as a huge team instead of fleeing in cars?
edit:
This is a genuine question if yall did not have vehicles what would you be doing? People who don't have the choice to run away be literally using dirt and desperation, not just water

People don’t appreciate Firefighters, Cops and Medical staff until things get tough. We need to thank all of them

this is arson... what heat are they talking about, we still have night frosts, and daytime highs are below 20. no thunder storms. as for out of province help, sorry, resources are tied up for Ukraine. they need it more of course. Canadians only count when they pay taxes.
