Aspasia is the true villain of AC Odyssey, Deimos is just a weapon used by the Cult of Kosmos. Deimos isn’t inherently bad nor choosing bad side with full information/understanding, Deimos was literally corrupted from childhood by the cult. As good ending shows, if Deimos is presented with the truth, Deimos does understand/acknowledge the truth and ends up leaving the cult.
Aspasia, on the other hand, she’s the leader of the cult of Kosmos, basically the grand master of the templar organisation of the story. She is directly responsible for Deimos becoming Deimos. When she learnt Alexios and Kassandra existed and were descendants of Leonidas, she decided for the pythia praxithea to sentence the infant (you can choose either in game but I think canonically Alexios is regarded the infant so therefore Deimos, even though I personally chose opposite for example) to death. Things didn’t go to plan since neither died but the infant was delivered to the priests by Myrrine (their mother), but the infant was said to have died, but in reality the cultist Chrysis took him (Chrysis claimed the infant was dead until she put the infant on a stone and the gods restored him) and raised him as a weapon for the cultists.
Aspasia only decided to bring down the order when Deimos rose too much within the cult and started taking over basically due to being extremely powerful. The cult’s ideologies were becoming less and less what Aspasia wanted with the cult shifting more towards Deimos becoming more influential in the cult than her.
Aspasia is the true villain and architect of the Peloponnesian war until she lost control, then the rest is her using Kassandra to reach her goals again which is to destroy the cult which was now unofficially led by Deimos, she wanted them destroyed so she could try to make her ideologies survive and the new corrupted version of the cult to not tarnish this. She just used Kassandra to make this happen.

Haytham wasn’t final boss of AC 3 it was Charles Lee if I remember correctly
