This is written in the manual... What I really want is to turn it off for ever, not at every ignition..

Thanks for the video. However in my case it re-avtivates after every new start/ignition. Is there any way to permanently deactivate it?

Yes, but it always turns on again, a pain in the arse on potholed and icy roads where you don't always have time to indicate. It's the worst thing about this car besides all the rattles from the panels and crashy suspension on 20" rims

Turn it off? It barely works when it is on - definitely not as robust as the other manufacturers when it comes to LKAS

In the 2020 CX-30, it’s under “Active Safety”, not “Collision Avoidance”

Yes, but does it stay off, like in my 2018 Mazda?
In my Mum's new Toyota, it cannot be permanently turned off. And I've had to fight with the car that is trying to turn the steering wheel to hit and kill a cyclist that I went wide to avoid several times. I originally just thought it was Toyota thing... and hence could be avoided by buying a brand of vehicle that is more of a 'drivers' car - eg: a Mazda... But I"m hearing that Mazda's changed their new cars too?

Sadly it does not stay off!!! It shows being checked off so technically disabled..yet it still does it. I personally dpnt mind it much except when im trying to give a wide berth to cyclists... my husband absolutely hate it tho.... dumb flaw for a 2024 model!!!

It's back on after starting the car. Lane Assist is horrible! It's more of a hazard than being helpful!

In the 2020 model, it stays off permanently.
