HJC Helmet Breakdown - i100 Modular Helmet Review

The i100 brings a change to your everyday modular helmet.
This modular helmet has a full rotation chin bar that can be used in both open and full-face configurations due to the P/J Dual Homologation. An easy-to-use integrated sun visor (Dark Smoke) is cable operated and located on the bottom left side of the shell. This shell is composed of our Advanced Polycarbonate material and is offered in 3 shells from sizes XS up to 2XL for maximum comfort and fitment. It’s also designed and engineered with optimal balance and weight distribution for all-day riding comfort. This helmet is also ready to accept the SMART HJC Bluetooth systems (10B and 20B).

The lid looks really cool but 1846 gr. are NOT light! It is a pitty that for those L and XL heads it's gonna be even worse. Please do a carbon version !

Great overview and got me over the fence to purchase an i100. Two questions, mine did not come with the smart buckle, is that standard or an oversight? To, not sure I understand replacement cheek, pads sizing. Can someone explain to me please? I haven’t used helmet yet, as I will be waiting or comfortable with some thinner cheek pads. Thanks.

I use the Yamaha licensed version of the i90 Zenith YJ-21, but I have high hopes for the i100 because it is a good helmet that matches the wide heads of Japanese people.

Watch out !!! The hole or placeholder in the motorcycle helmet may not be deep enough for speakers. For example, when installing the SENA 30K in the HJC i 100 helmet. The loudspeaker is approx. 2 mm above the cut-out, the edge causes unpleasant pain on the auricles. The padding is a joke and is even more bulky. So how do I get the hole deeper? If I cut out the plastic at the cut-out and push the polystyrene deeper, I lose the possibility of gluing the speaker there. Almost nothing sticks to polystyrene crumbs. Pouring out might be possible, but with what? Styrofoam doesn't like chemicals!

How do you remove the top vent, to clean the bugs and dirt from under it? I cannot find any info anywhere.

Je suis assez déçu, trop d'air qui rentre dans le casque, bruyant, bien pour l'été mais pour l'hiver obligé de mettre une cagoule hyper froid sur le crâne, casque assez lourd, puis retour au sav car les joints n'ont pas supporté les fortes chaleurs.
Obligé de mettre un écran anti-bué, problématique quand il y pleut, le changement de température favorise la buée, impossible de voir visière fermée
