I am on Samsung, we never heard of software updates. As far as I understand it, a software update is when you go into a store and by a newer Samsung phone to get the newest Android version and software patches. Therefore I am not concerned about Huaweis supposed future lack of software updates

It’s actually not expensive used. Better to buy used than new if you don’t have the money!

Had mine a month and really impressed. Unbelievably good camera. Only gripe is getting a screen protector that doesn't come off with a rear cover added. Have olixar and spigen rear covers but screen with the olixar no screen protector will stay on

I have taken back 3 Samsung phones with oled displays because on PMW headaches. Huawei has given a DC dimming update so I was just waiting to see if the ban would be lifted and it has been!! So now I am ordering the Pro version tomorrow and I can't wait to be future ready with this phone!
