Roadmap for being a Data Analyst

Hello Guys, Welcome to Inspired Analyst YouTube page. A lot of you have been asking me in the comments for “Roadmap for being a data analyst”. Here in this video, I will present a complete Roadmap for being a data analyst.

To become a data analyst, one should know What is a data analyst? What are their roles, and what skills do one need to become a data analyst?

What is data analyst?

“A data analyst is a professional who retrieves, organizes and analyzes information from various sources to help an organization achieve business goals.”

To understand this definition in more details, let’s take an example of a Company. As the company grow, they need to compile, organize and share data. The company relies on the data to make critical business decisions—

which new products to develop,

new markets to enter,

new investments to make, and

new or existing customers to target.

They also use data to identify inefficiencies and other business problems that need to be addressed. That’s where the data analyst come in the picture. The job of the data analyst is to assign a numerical value to these important business functions so performance can be assessed and compared over time. But the job involves more than just looking at numbers: An analyst also needs to know how to use data to enable an organization to make more informed decisions.

That’s where the second question raise;

What is Data Analyst Role or Duties:

Data analysts collect, analyze, and report valuable insights found in data. The daily duties of data analysts include:

Collecting data from a variety of sources.

Preparing the data for analysis i.e. cleaning the data.

Performing an exploratory data survey.

Modeling and analyzing data.

Creating data visualizations and reports.

There is a lot of hype around this profession, but it’s hard to overestimate the role of data analysts in today’s data-driven organizations. With proper data analysis in place, a company can understand its customers better, improve the targeting of marketing campaigns, organize better logistics, improve HR management, prevent fraud, and much more.

Now, to answer the main question; “How to become a data Analyst?” I have designed a Roadmap for being a Data Analyst.

Hope so this roadmap will help you in understanding the job of data analyst and how to begin if you want to start a career in this field. By following this roadmap, you can begin to form your path toward becoming a data analyst. Before ending this video, I would like to suggest you to take one thing at a time and be consistent.
