I've been a fan since 66'....I attended my first Reds game at Crosley Field when I was 6 years old in 66...I was at Riverfront in 70 when it opened....I was spoiled by the Big Red Machine went to many games as a kid in the glory years of the Reds...Nice to see all of this young talent come together...The franchise has been a trainwreck for awhile now...

I’ve never been into baseball but, this Reds team is making me become a fan. Elly De La Cruz is ELECTRIC, the Joey Votto comeback, and just all the young guys that they brought up that are straight balling rn. It’s truly an amazing story.

Congratulations Cincinnati REDS!! What a streak and what a season so far!

Votto is NOT "known for getting hit on purpose" though he does crowd the plate. And as a HUGE Cincinnati REDS and Joey Votto fan, I will categorically say, "I cannot stand when players do that particularly when it is a strike!"

Umps have been much, much better at not giving players a 'hit-by-pitch' and even calling strikes on pitches like this one that were in-the-zone.

I can't wait for automated pitch calls and hope they take it a step further with technology and create zones about 3-5 inches on either side of the plate where if a player gets hit it is NOT a Hit-by-Pitch.
