The Apple Silicon M1 MacBook Air is a Bigger Deal Than You Realize

The Apple Silicon M1 MacBook Air is days away from being announced at Apple's November 10th "One More Thing" event. Make sure you do your research before the big Apple Silicon event, and decide whether or not you should save some money by purchasing the 13 inch M1 Apple Silicon MacBook Air. You should see better battery life, thinner and lighter form factors, increased efficiency, better performance, lower prices, and more on the Apple Silicon MacBooks.

The One More Thing Apple Silicon event on November 10th, 2020 is one of the most anticipated Apple Events ever, as they try to change the world of computing by forcing the widespread adoption of ARM Macs. The new 13 inch ARM M1 MacBook Air will be a part of Apple's new ecosystem where almost all apps are cross platform between all Apple devices. This means that you will be able to pick up right where you left off when you close your laptop and open the same app on your iPhone. As we all eagerly await the price, release date, performance, design, and battery life of the Apple Silicon Macs to be announced, I have analyzed the leaks and rumors and determined what we are likely to see, and outlined it in this video. These new Apple Silicon chips are definitely going to shake up the laptop market, and it'll be interesting to see how other companies react.

Hmmmm. I will wait to see what the price vs. performance factor is with the new ARM Apple laptops. You may be right about going with the MB Air for less $$$ which could allow a faster upgrade cycle.

The MacBook Air isn’t a better deal for ppl for edit for extended periods. The lack of a fan makes this a problem. If you’re a wedding photographer of videographer and you regularly edit 5+ hrs in a day, the the Air is not the best choice because there’s no way to cool down the processor besides throttling .

I am assuming this new air with the M1 is way better for serato / recordbox or just djing in general?

I was planning on getting an iPad Air 4 for school purposes. I don’t video editing and I’m not an artist. I just wanted it so I can take notes in class and do all of my school work on it.

Now I’m thinking of just waiting for this instead since there’s a possibility it may be cheaper than getting the iPad Air 4 256 GB with an Apple Pencil and Magic Keyboard.

However, I do have a Razor laptop for gaming and the reason why I don’t want to bring that to school is because a full battery dies within 3 hours.

So should I go with the iPad since I already have a laptop or will the new MacBooks be much better? Any advice?

I guess the number of cores in the processor are more in pro than in air

The 12” MB was never the budget entry level option, it was always more expensive than the MBA. The MB was the boutique option. Just like the iPad mini is on the iPad side.

I like your thinking, have now subscribed! I’m looking forward to Tuesday when we will learn what’s really what with the new Macs with Apple silicon CPUs and GPUs and all the rest. It’s amazing what Apple has crammed into the A14 chips. I only just now discovered your channel, so I don’t if you have commented on the purchase of ARM by nVidia. If you haven’t, I would love to hear your thoughts on what this purchase might mean for Apple’s and our future.
