I have a 300 like this. I don't drive like this guy did because I own it and want to get the most out of the engine. Drive like this guy won't take long to get a ticking. I preserve the power for emergency situations so it's always great to watch these videos

Your steering will be alot tighter if you push the sport button on the dash so the green flag pops up in the instrument cluster. Sport on the dial knob keeps the transmission revs higher so do both for added performance!!

Chrysler 300, best car I have owned in years. Still have the first year 300c.

I really wish they could bring back the lever gear shifter. I think it’s more stylish for a big car like this imo

If you don't like how slow the steering is take it to an alignment shop and tell them you want a quicker steering response and they can adjust it to be a bit more responsive.

Have the AWD v6 in 300s for a few years and I love it, love driving it. It drives primary RWD, but AWD kicks in when weather conditions permit and when engaged in sport. its was 50k new, Got a very good steal on it used. Its a rare trim and dealer was not aware. Came with two luxury packages special installed fully loaded, some features that the more luxurious C trim doesn't even have, a black tri coat metallic paint that can only be purchased at the dealer. 8 speed version. Top of the line features that are in the luxurious trim and more put in the the S version. It has been very reliable, I'm expecting it to make it past 200, 000 like my last 300. Just had a minor leak due to a defective part, but its part of owning a Chrysler product. 90000 miles, drives like it has 40, 000. A lot of people who drive or own this car, do not speed in it.. or think its slow because its big. Or scared. its a very intimating car to drive. I've driven commercial trucks and even the last generation 300. I was a bit nervous when I first got in it to take it home. I had gotten soo used to driving a Toyota. Everyday driving this car is a learning curve. Its a monster if you can drive it to its capabilities, I burnt an Audi last week.. he saw me speeding, he tried to speed more... I bent a crazy corner off the exit, caught up to him at the light. Audi could not believe it. I could not believe it, a big ass boat that accelerates/handles this well! People sleep all the time! You compare it to the Japanese, their handing and steering is made for anyone/everyone to be able to drive their cars easily! The 300 is made to float, like a classic American car! That gives you a feeling of your own car driving you! And you are in full control! Selecting sport power steering on your indash settings will give you a tighter feel. Which i do. Its off by default. It helps a lot, but wont get you as tight as Japanese.

You were also not a fan of sport mode, I also was not, but you haven't driven it long enough! or used in situations! I'm always in Sport now that I'm used to it! Its lagging cause its ready to go! You were off the gas when it was ready to shift..

Nice review i enjoyed it!

Amazing how much use Chrysler has gotten out of this old Mercedes platform dating back to 2005.

I like the giant sized digital speedometer display.

That Pentastar can be pretty quick at times. We have the same engine in our '14 Jeep Grand Cherokee (which just turned over 161k miles, BTW, and has been VERY reliable as well). It's especially fun when you put it into Sport Mode. :)

I love the look of the Chrysler 300s the last of the true american full size sedans and it being discontinued 😢

There are 3 mode you can set for the steering wheel response if you have the S trim: normal, sport and comfort. Put in normal or sport you can feel the steering way more stiffer

I have the 2018 6 cyl Limited rwd, virtually the same car.
I have fun driving it. Power is more than adequate, particularly with traction control off.

It was more enjoyable in the last generation Chrysler 200 V6 since it's lighter than the 300.

These cars are definitely fun to drive! If you turn your steering wheel setting to “Sport”, your steering will be tighter. The default steering mode is “Normal” so you have to manually change it to sport but it definitely tightens the steering.

Have the vehicle tuned and the throttle map adjusted. These 300's can indeed have instant response times but the delay in the vehicle tuned must be reduced. Also there is a thing called "Peddle Follower" that it may have.

I’d rather this car than a typical Honda or Toyota.. it just feels fancier

I have a '14 300 S and car does pretty good for being 4000 pounds. I have AWD also which done really great in the recent snow storm we had. I have issues with the car such as flex pipe on exhaust leaking got replaced. The "in famous" oil housing / so called cooler unit leaking oil which part is on back order at dealer.
