No matter how you look at this interview. This is a W for Sony and a major W for Miguel! Nikon should take notes…

I just want a Sony version of an x-t4 or soon to be x-t5. A retro stylr camera with all the dials. But with Sony auto focus.

How about the future of RX10? Will there be a RX10 V? There is a lot more to the 1" sensor than just vlogging cameras. A 25x 24-600 super zoom in a compact body offers excellent flexibility and portability.

I have the A7R3, A74 and the a6600. Which camera do you think I love the most? You guessed it, the a6600. Now that we have the FX-30 with its outstanding crop sensor, why not boost the capability of the a6000 line? That a6600 is the most comfortable body of any I've held, except my Nikon FE2 with motor drive. The others feel good but are heavy. The aps-c cameras take great photos, almost comparable to the FF line. But it's the convenience, light weight and easy of handling that makes it the most fun to use. Plus, with Sigma's 18-50 zoom, it is the perfect travel camera.

Thank you Miguel great interview, that guy is sharp, great questions and great answers, I loved the a say he gave you on AI, of course they are not good to make us “photographers” (me) obsolete, who is going to buy their cameras, that is why I’m not concern about AI

I just gave up on Sony's APS-C recently, and got a Sony A7RIII instead this summer.

Sony Medium format? That would suggest that Sony has some kind of history in still photography as well as a dominant interest in being taken as a serious still photography manufacturer. It bought a stills maker to get its head around stills. It was a TV and video manufacturer from the outset. Stills are simply the sensors ability to capture a single frame from its bit stream sensor output. It’s always been about the stream, from Sony’s perspective.

Will it be possible Sony don't innovate medium format sensor enough as they could because they don't have medium format cameras of their own but they make the sensors for their competition camera brands like Fuji and Hasselblad?

The problem is that this Gap he talks about that is closing up. Well, it's really between FF and cell phones. Camera companies need to get up to speed or cell phones will be all that there will be.

Miguel thanks. Like any good Sony Exec., he really revealed nothing, but knew how to talk around everything, lol Cheers and best to you.

Thanx for this clearing. I love my a6600 with 18-105 & 35 f1.8 it allows me to grab a shot everywhere. I am really curious to see if as they expanded the a7r serie with a massive jump from the a7r2 to the a7r5 they will put the same effort for the a6600 witg a newer sensor with 3 tines the megapixels and with opportunity to use ai af and pixelshift technology on a apsc. Thank you both. I do really love sony, i was nikon 35mm film user zenza bronica 6x6cm fiml user, nikon d user, canon compact 1inch user, and now i really enjoy sony mirrorless apsc with tge awesome af and ibis and 5-7levels of gray recovery on my a6600 on both sides (10-14). I have also a recent insta account event if insta is reducing opportunities to photographers. It will be a gread pleasure to be sony a6600 ambassador.

I just want apsc lenses that rival fuji's, a compact 18mm f2 and compact 23mm f2 weather sealed. It's been way too long of a wait.
