The 4 Basic Kicks For Kickboxing
Показать описание
#1 The Left Foot Jab. The Left Foot Jab is a straight kick thrown to your opponent's chest. The key element to remember is to lift your left knee up as high as possible so you can generate maximum power for your kick. Strike with the ball of your foot and be sure to extend your leg as much as possible so that you can be as far away as possible while still striking the target.
#2. The Right Foot Jab. The Right Foot Jab is very similar to the Left Foot Jab except The Right Foot Jab has way more power. Because the right leg is farther away from the target, there's more distance to generate power. You're also adding in the rotation of your hip with the kick so there's more power when you follow through with the kick.
#3. The Left Hook Kick. The Left Hook Kick is sometimes called a Roundhouse Kick. Think of your left shin being used as a baseball bat to swing at the right side of your opponent. With the Left Hook Kick, you can kick your opponent in the leg, in the right side of their rib cage or to the right side of their head.
#4. The Right Hook Kick. The Right Hook Kick, also known as the Right Roundhouse Kick is a super powerful kick that swings at the left side of your opponent's body. Targets include your opponent's leg, torso or head. The Right Hook Kick has tremendous power because you can rotate and follow through with your hip when throwing the kick.
